What is Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)?
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) is a compassionate and evidence-based approach designed to help you navigate the emotional challenges that arise in your relationships and life transitions. Rooted in the understanding that our connections with others significantly impact our mental health, IPT focuses on improving how you communicate, build relationships, and process changes or losses.
If you often feel misunderstood, struggle to express your needs, or feel weighed down by conflicts or life changes, IPT can provide a safe, supportive space to explore these challenges and find new ways forward.
How Can IPT Help You?
IPT is especially effective for anyone dealing with:
Relationship conflicts – whether with a partner, family member, friend, or colleague.
Life transitions – navigating major changes like adjusting to a new diagnosis or discovery, career shifts, parenthood, illness, or separation.
Loss and grief – processing the pain of losing someone or something important.
Feelings of isolation or disconnection – working through struggles with belonging or connection.
Together, we’ll uncover patterns in your relationships, explore how these impact your emotional well-being, and work on practical ways to improve communication and strengthen your connections.
